Battle vs Rock Bridge Week 3 Preview

Week three of this season already sees us a cross town as the 2-0 Spartans will battle the 1-1 Rock Bridge Bruins.

The Spartans are coming off of an impressive 39-22 win over the Smith-Cotton Tigers to move to 2-0 last week, the Spartans showed a great passing game last week with lots of time for the quarterback thanks to the great blocking performance from the offensive line the whole night. The defense really dominated in the first half allowing only seven points but would slow down a bit and allow 15 in the second half but it wasn’t enough for the tigers to come out with the win.

The Bruins are coming off a disappointing loss at home to the number four ranked team in the state, the 2-0 Desmet Jesuit High School. The bruins strongest point of their game is their run game, thanks to the effort of their senior running back Nathaniel Pete, the bruins also show one of the most physical and dominating defenses in the state all part of division 1 athletes like their Senior Cornerback Martez Manuel and Junior Defensive Linemen Jalen Logan-Redding, the Bruins though will have to play without star Safety Senior KyJuan Collins due to a fractured fibula that has cost him the rest of his high school career.

The Bruins defeated the Spartans 48-28, the Spartans move to 2-1 and will travel to Harrisonville next Friday Night.
