Battle vs Rockhurst Week 7 Preview
We are into the third part already of the 2018 football season, and the 4-2 Spartans will face its toughest challenge of the season yet as they travel this friday night to Kansas City to play the 5-1 Rockhurst Hawklets.
The Spartans are coming off of beating the 1-5 Hickman Kewpies at their homecoming game to improve to 4-2 on the season with a score of 37-20. The Spartans really struggled to get going in the first half trailing to the Kewpies 12-13 at halftime and that is not something that they can do with the Hawklets this friday or it might just be a long night, but they would capitalize in the second half, outscoring the Kewpies 25-7 in the 2nd half, if the Spartans can perform like they did in the second half of the Kewpies game, they could give the Hawklets a run for their money.
The Hawklets are coming off of their closet game yet this season by defeating Bishop Miege High School of Shawnee Mission Kansas 14-13 to improve to 5-1 and to move up to the number two overall team in the state of missouri behind Christian Brothers College High School of St Louis. The Hawklets only score just around 26.6 points per game but only allow 10.5 points per game, they have really shown a strong offense since their week one loss to the 4-2 Rock Bridge Bruins, and their defense has not allowed 33 points like they did in Week one to the Bruins.
The Spartans once again are traveling to Kansas City for this one friday night at 7pm.
