Annual Activities Fair to Happen Wednesday
Amongst the hustle of back to school season, students will have the chance to learn more about the clubs and organizations Battle has to offer. The annual activities fair, hosted during school lunches, is scheduled for tomorrow, Sept. 10.
Alex Huck, athletic director, said there will be a large variety of vendors for students to learn about.
“There will be about 15 or 16 clubs in attendance this year, ranging from different sports to other types of clubs or organizations,” Huck said.
Among those vendors in attendance will be science club. Sam Schupp, a member of the leadership staff for science club, mentioned that she enjoys the activities fair for multiple reasons.
“I enjoy getting to talk to new people about what science club is. Having those conversations allows us to shine a new light on science,” Schupp said. “We have people in science class who don’t love chemistry or biology, but love the medical field. There’s more to just science and we can talk to other students about that.”
Huck believes that the activities fair helps encourage students to join a club.
“The activity fair provides opportunities for our students to see the various clubs offered and to try to get kids involved in clubs they may not know existed,” Huck said. “We firmly believe that getting involved in clubs helps hold students accountable in and out of the classroom.”
The activities fair will be held from 11:03 a.m. to 1:03 p.m.
