Battle vs Jackson Week 5 Preview
It’s week five of the football Friday nights, and the 3-1 Spartans will travel to Jackson to play the 4-0 Indians on Friday Night.
The Spartans pulled off a 30-16 win over the 0-4 Harrisonville Wildcats at home last Friday night to extend their winning streak to three after that week one defeat to SLUH. The offense totaled for over 450 yards on the night, with rushing touchdowns from senior quarterback Harrison Keller and junior running back DaleShaun Coleman, and a passing touchdown to Senior Wide Receiver Tavian Miller. The defense only allowed eight points in the first and second half. The defense has only given up 51 points in the last three games since they allowed 52 in the first game.
The Indians are coming off of a 53-0 win over Sikeston High. The Indians offense this season has been scoring an average of 48.3 points a game this season and have outscored their opponents this season 193 to 13. The Indians have three shutouts and only allowing 13 points to Parkway North High School.
The Indians beat the Spartans last year 60-33 at the homecoming game last season and will look to further their record to 5-0, while the Spartans will look for some revenge at Jackson’s homecoming game and improve to 4-1.
