Student of the Month: Sydney Schupp

Sydney Schupp, a fresh face to Battle, was happily surprised when presented with student of the month award. She felt that her loyalty to softball and lack of other extra-curricular activities would dampen her chance of obtaining such recognition. She also said, “I was surprised I received this award so early in the year,” because she had not had much of a chance to demonstrate her full potential. Her mother Alison Schupp, Sydney’s mother, and a Battle employee said she is “very proud of Sydney, she works hard in everything she does.” Sydney’s chipper attitude to any task thrown her way makes her a perfect candidate for this accolade. “I feel my organizational skills and ability to handle school work while advancing in sports may have contributed to this award,” she commented. Sydney is currently enrolled in AP Human Geography and many agricultural classes, diving headfirst into her first year of high school.
