Surprised by the recognition Andrew also felt he deserved it, because he aids his friends in homework or sports needs when called upon. He has aspirations for the future, too, saying, “I hope to be on the honor roll by senior year.” His fondness of sports originates from a long line of family sport fanatics, and he feels pride in fulfilling his childhood dream. He gains just as much satisfaction from academic accomplishments, and enjoys harmonizing the two. Andrews’s quiet but caring personality shows that he truly did deserve the title of Freshman Student of the Month. This won’t be the last award Andrew is presented over the next four years, I see this as just the beginning of his recognition and praise for his accomplishments and greatness.
