Dear Darla,

I have two best friends but I always feel left out when we’re all together. What should I do?

Sincerely, Third Wheel

Dear Third Wheel,

It’s very unfortunate that you feel like that. I can relate, from a personal level. I have learned from this situation that it is always best to talk to your friends about it. When you just keep going on like nothing’s bothering you it can cause some tension between you three, and tension isn’t the best in any kind of relationship. My mama always told me it’s better to say how you feel than to suffer in silence feeling like no one is there. So I say to you, Third Wheel, talk to them. Don’t be afraid to say what you feel because if they are your true best friends they will make the effort to show that they really care what you think and feel.

Sincerely, Darla
