Nic Stone talks to Project LIT BHS about her overall message of Dear Martin. Stone said, “Things have got to change! Stir it up and make people uncomfortable with how things are because it’s the only way things will change.”

Danny Ayers introduces author Nic Stone by telling Project LIT BHS about his relationship with the novel. Ayers said, “I remember I got to that ONE part of the novel, you know which part, and I was sitting in class, it was so silent in class and I just yelled out ‘What the freak, bro!'”.

AVID 10 welcomed author Nic Stone to Battle High School on Thursday, February 22 to talk about her book, Dear Martin. Many AVID 10 members took a leadership role with the help of AVID 10 teacher Lynn Hagen to organize and put on the 3 Project LIT book club meetings throughout the day.
