It is time for the final week of the football regular season, Friday Night the 4-4 will hit the road for its final regular season away game vs the 6-2 Hannibal Pirates.

The 4-4 Spartans are coming off a heartbreaking 14-17 loss to the 4-4 Jefferson City Jays in the final three seconds of the game by a field goal made by Jefferson City’s Junior Kicker Ben Folz, the Spartans have had a rough last four games as the Spartans are 1-3 in the last four games, the Spartans offense are also only averaging 21 PPG which is less than double of what they usually average, the defense showed a valiant effort in the game vs the Jays as they only allowed three points in the second half, if the defense can fight the way they did in the senior game, they can really be something special for the rest of the year.

The Hannibal Pirates come into the game with a 6-2 record and defeated the 2-6 Marshall Owls 42-0 to win their sixth straight game, the Pirates are looking for their seventh straight win as they haven’t lost a game since week 2 at the hands of the Jefferson City Jays. The Pirates average 42 PPG and allow 14 PPG and thats what has helped them be super successful this year.

The Spartans once again will travel to Hannibal for this final regular season game.
