 1. God Is A Woman by Ariana Grande: At number one on the pop charts, God Is A Woman by Ariana Grande took the top spot. God is a woman was released on Jul. 13th of 2018 as the second single for her fourth studio album titled Sweetener. The song has a mixture of pop and hip hop and the lyrical content behind this song shows strong and powerful meaning of femininity and female empowerment.

2. Youngblood by 5 Seconds of Summer: At number 2, Youngblood by 5 Seconds of Summer went down a spot losing their five-week streak at number 1 on the Pop Charts. Youngblood was released on Apr. 12th of 2018 as the second single of their third studio album called Youngblood as well. The lyrics to the song talks about one of the group members, Luke Hemmings reflecting over his relationship.

3. Love Lies by Khalid & Normani: At number 3, Love Lies by Khalid and Normani stays at number 3. Love Lies was released on Feb. 14th of 2018 as the second single for the movie soundtrack of Love, Simon. The song has a slow pop beat and the meaning of this song is about people who are into each other and wanting to feel reassurance in a relationship.

4. Happier by Marshmello & Bastille: At number 4, Happier by Marshmello and Bastille rises two spots after being number 6 last week. Happier was a single that was released on Aug. 17th of 2018. The song is an upbeat pop song and it’s about trying to find closure in a situation and be happier.

5. Girls Like You by Maroon 5 ft. Cardi B: At number 5, Girls Like You by Maroon 5 featuring Cardi B goes down a spot from being number 4 last week. Girls Like You was released on May 30th of 2018. It is a mixture of pop and pop rock and it’s about Adam Levine and showing appreciation for his old relationship that didn’t work out.

6. Better Now by Post Malone: At number 6, Better Now by Post Malone also goes down a spot after being number 5 last week. Better Now was released on Jun. 5th, 2018 as a single making it the fifth single released from his second studio album called Beerbongs & Bentleys. The lyrics about this song is about Post Malone ending a relationship and seeing her with another person. But he will be fine and despite what happened.

7. Lucid Dreams by Juice WRLD: At number 7, Lucid Dreams by Juice WRLD stays in the same spot as of last week. Lucid Dreams was released on Mar. 13th of 2018. And the songs is song about dreaming when your being aware of it.

8. Lie by NF: At number 8, Lie by NF goes up by one position after being number 9 last week. Lie by NF was released on Apr. 17th of 2018 as the fourth single of his third studio album titled Perception. The songs is about a failed relationship. And that his relationship contained of several lies and rumors.

9. Breathin by Ariana Grande: At number 9, Breathin by Ariana Grande landed at number 9 after being at number 12 last week. Breathin was released when Grande released her fourth studio album titled Sweetener on Aug. 17th of 2018, then released as a single after a few weeks. The song is more of a contemporary pop and the meaning of these lyrics is about anxiety.

10. Eastside by Benny Blanco, Halsey & Khalid: At number 10, Eastside by Benny Blanco, Halsey and Khalid rises into the top 10 on the pop charts after being at 11 last week. Eastside was released on Jul. 12th of 2018 as Blanco’s debut single. The song is about the development of growing up.
