District Championship games at Battle are not given to the Spartans, they earn there chances and indeed they have as the 6-4 Spartans will hit the road against the 8-2 Timberland T-Wolves to try and win their fifth straight district championship.
The Spartans are coming in after a 48-44 win over the 4-6 Wentzville Holt Indians in which Spartan Senior Cornerback Jaylon Williamson intercepted the Indian pass with just 15 seconds remaining in the game to keep the Spartans season alive. The offense capitalized on 7 of their 8 drives as they would score 7 touchdowns on the game, the Spartans will need the same energy from the offensive side of the ball if they wanna be super successful this season, the defensive side was only able to make a couple of stops but also allowing a field goal and a few touchdowns along the way, if the Spartans can play the way they did in that fourth quarter of that game, they will be very successful.
