In 2026, President Trump is deporting innocent people, who he calls “animals, aliens, invaders”, as he said in April 2024. He does not have a reason to use those words towards them. He should be making people love his country, not to be afraid of it. It is very disrespectful to those who were not born in the USA and who are just trying to have a better life.
“We had ICE before but it was never this bad. It was never taking kids from elementary school, separating them from their parents, deporting you to another country. It was never like this and it is getting out of hand,” Josie Ameh, junior, said
There is no reason that the President should be deporting immigrants. He is separating families and making them feel afraid. All people want to do is live that American dream and want freedom, succeed in life and to have an education.
“I don’t think they should be deporting people or citizens ’cause that’s what they’re doing, deporting children,I don’t think anybody is illegal in a stolen country” Esmeralda San Juan Lopez, junior, said.
Many families who are not born here are very much afraid. Many people just want to have a family and live a normal life, but most of them are afraid to even go out and be criticized by people who are racist, or those who support ICE and Trump.
Many people ask themselves why ICE even exists, and it’s not bad law enforcement at first to deport those who are committing crimes that are related to drug and trafficking crimes.
What does not make sense is why they are deporting families who have maybe just committed a crime of being undocumented but the reason they are only doing that is to have a better life and have jobs, a roof over their heads, food on their table, and clothes and just to be accepted even though they have different cultures.
“There should be a process for families who have been here this whole time, not just getting sent back to a place you’ve probably never even been. People come here undocumented when they’re children and they have known America their whole life and they get sent back to a country they’ve never known” Ameh said.
I agree with Josie because if there were kids who were not born in the USA but probably lived their whole life here, they should have an opportunity to have a green card or obtain legal papers to be able to have a job, own a car, a business, or a home.
