Battle Football’s Game 1 of the Elite Eight

Bethani Thompson, Staff Member

Battle High School football will host Zumwalt North Friday, November 14, at 7 PM. After coming off of their high due to the win at the district championship the previous Friday, the boys will play hard to win in order to make it to the state Championship. Tickets will be on sale Wednesday and Thursday in the cafeteria for 3 dollars for students and will be sold at the game for 6 dollars. Battle High School beat Camdenton last Friday, 22-14, winning the district championship. Zumwalt North beat Zumwalt East, 42-7, to win their district championship. Battle High School is the only high school in Columbia who is still in the playoffs. Being the first year that Battle is in the playoffs and to make it this far is very incredible. It will be cold on Friday, so make sure to bundle up before you come to game and prepare for a cold, exciting night. Come out on Friday to cheer on your Battle Spartan Football team and show your Spartan pride!
