Battle High School’s Student of the Month award is new to the school and its students. Each month one student in each class is recognized for an outstanding representation of the Battle C.H.A.R.G.E. For the very first month of the school year Freshman Justus Hightower was chosen. He says he has no emotions toward his success in winning the student of the month award. Being one of the well behaved students in Ms. Bennett’s class of trouble makers in middle school, he thinks he was noticed for his good behavior. Justus spends his time creating super heroes sketches, listening to good rap because he doesn’t like nonsense, reading, and playing with his new born baby sister. He plays the vibraphone in the pit band and hopes that next year he can be on the snare drum. When Justus gets old enough he wants everything but fame, he said, “I want to be like the next Stan Lee, I want to make movies and comics. I don’t really care about being famous my biggest dream is seeing my idea on the big screen.” Being chosen as Battle High’s student of the month is just the first step to becoming the next Stan Lee.
